‘Be Yourself Girl’ is the second single release from emerging Irish recording artist Paul Quinn’s forthcoming debut album ‘Life On Earth’
A dark but uplifting ballad built around sax, piano and analogue synth sounds and beats, the song tells the story of a young trans woman struggling to find her life she her place in an increasingly fast world, and the man who is pursuing her in an attempt to also discover and explore his true nature, beyond the expectations of society in 2021.
Like many of the songs on the debut album this is a gritty tale of mental and emotional survival set to to an haunting melody which merges into the human yearning in the lyric.
