In Old Slavic mythology, the world was divided into three parts: Nav, Yav, and Prav. Nav—the world of spirits, Yav—the world of the living, and Prav—the world of gods. Nowadays, many have forgotten about these dogmas of the ancient tradition—yet in vain. Ancient traditions hold many interesting answers to quite modern questions, for example about the simulation theory. Or about parallel universes, or about genetics. Ancient traditions sometimes seem to us as obscurantism, but in fact they are imbued with love for nature and for this world. Boreya is releasing a single called “Yav,” which is precisely about our world. The song is about how a person builds their own reality—Yav—based on their perception of the world. But objective reality is not limited to this. The world is vast, and the events that unfold within it are interconnected, just like the souls of people.
